The National Science and Technology Library (NSTL), a virtual science and technology literature information service organization, is comprised of the Library of the Chinese Academy of Sciences, the Engineering and Technology Library (China Science and Technology Information Institute, China Machinery Industry Information Research Institute, China Metallurgical Information and Standardization Institute, China National Chemical Information Center), the Library of the Chinese Academy of Agricultural Sciences, and the Library of the Chinese Academy of Medical Sciences.

To strengthen the management and protection of intellectual property rights in NSTL's document delivery service, standardize user behavior, and ensure the reasonable use of documents, we are currently re-auditing user registration information in accordance with the directives of superior notices. Users are required to provide complete, true, and accurate registration information. Readers who hold library cards will no longer automatically become users of the NSTL Shenzhen Service Station. Original card-holding readers (with usernames as their reader card numbers and passwords as the registration passwords on the "My Library" page of the Science and Technology Library's homepage) and all online registered users will be temporarily frozen from December 11, 2012. Please first log in to the NSTL Shenzhen Service Station to supplement, modify, and confirm your registration information. If your registration information is not true or incomplete, we will suspend your document delivery service. We promise to protect user privacy and will not disclose user registration information to any third party.

With the aim of fully leveraging resource sharing and providing science and technology literature information support for Shenzhen, the Shenzhen Science & Technology Library (University Town Library of Shenzhen) has collaborated with the National Science and Technology Library (NSTL) to establish the NSTL Shenzhen Service Station.

The NSTL Shenzhen Service Station will rely on NSTL and use the library as a platform to provide Shenzhen's enterprises, researchers, and citizens with rich, fast, efficient, and high-quality science and technology information services, based on Shenzhen's technological development and independent innovation needs, as well as the development of key industries in Shenzhen.

Until further notice, the Shenzhen Science & Technology Library (University Town Library of Shenzhen) will prepay a trial fee of 100 yuan for all registered users of the NSTL Shenzhen Service Station (after exhaustion, an application can be submitted for free replenishment upon approval).

The Shenzhen Science & Technology Library already possesses a considerable amount of electronic collection resources. To save your costs and document delivery time, please note for users (especially those within the University Town Library of Shenzhen): First, conduct a search of the collection resources of the Shenzhen Science & Technology Libraryhe， After confirming that the library does not have the resource in its collection, please submit a document delivery request to NSTL.

Friendly Reminder: Due to the high service fees, the recharge offered by the Shenzhen Service Station cannot be used for document delivery and search and retrieval services for patents, standards, dissertations, and scientific and technical reports. Otherwise, renewal fees will not be granted.。

During registration, please fill in complete, true, and accurate personal information, and ensure your phone is accessible for a review within 2 working days. Once approved, users can enjoy all services provided by the NSTL Shenzhen Service Station."

3. Until further notice, our library will predeposit a trial fee of 100 yuan for all new and existing registered users of the NSTL Shenzhen Service Station; after exhaustion, users can apply for a free recharge upon approval. The recharge is solely for the purpose of acquiring NSTL documents and cannot be used for document delivery of patents, dissertations, standards, and scientific and technical reports. (Note: These documents have higher fees and require readers to submit interlibrary loan applications. Interlibrary loan is a collection and payment service item of our library, where we advance the fees to the document-holding library, collect the fees from the document-holding library in daily services, and then offset the advanced fees.)
Important Notes: To speed up the retrieval process, readers need to set their computer browsers to accept all cookies. The NSTL Shenzhen Service Station adheres to the service convention of the NSTL:

1.The original copies provided by NSTL are for personal learning and research only, not for commercial use. Users exceeding "fair use" will be liable for copyright infringement. NSTL reserves the right to refuse or cancel requests exceeding "fair use" as stipulated by copyright law.

2.The usage scope of the online journal versions provided by NSTL is limited to browsing and downloading in small quantities for personal learning and research purposes, with temporary storage allowed. The downloaded materials (including printed materials) contain copyright notices. To prevent the entire document or parts of it from being used for other purposes, such notices must not be altered or deleted. Users who alter or delete copyright notices will bear copyright infringement liability according to copyright law.

3.NSTL will rigorously screen the types of documents and link categories provided in its system, offering the required documents based on user requests. However, NSTL bears no responsibility for the specific content of the documents or the external links set up within the system.

4.NSTL holds the overall copyright for the database resources within the system. Without explicit written permission from NSTL, no one is allowed to copy, download, or create mirrors on servers not belonging to NSTL. NSTL reserves the right to pursue the liability of infringers.
